About Me

Walter Wimberly
I am a teacher, web developer, entrepreneur, and learner. I enjoy learning new things, in new ways, and I have several degrees, and many books to prove it.
I have decided a couple of years ago to start improving myself, one major section at a time. I wanted to be easier to both work and live with. I needed to be a better husband and father, and I wanted to be more productive at work.
My first changes
In 2007 I decided the first thing to change would be my attitude. I decided to actively choose to be happier, and it worked. During this time I changed my job, and more importantly my outlook. Both were choices, not dependent upon the other.
Where I had become the type of person that made a room better by leaving, and I was changing so that a room became better when I entered.
Toward the end of 2007, I found I had some basic health issues. Instead of becoming defeatist or angry about it, I decided to change myself and my habits to fix the issue. This would not have happened a year before but changing my attitude was to help me.
Improving my health
In 2008 I chose to start eating healthier and visit a gym regularly. I lost 20 pounds and went from 28% body fat to 16% body fat. My blood pressure dropped the few points necessary to be “healthy” again and my cholesterol has started to go down as well.
Improving my self education
Now in 2009 I have choosen to better myself by learning more about business. I want to improve my skills so that I can be a better employee, and run my personal business better. Times are tough as we start 2009, and I don’t want to blame anyone, rather I want to prepare myself as I need to so that I can survive myself, and help my clients weather this storm. That is why I have choosen to improve myself through self-study of the Personal MBA path.
